2024 St Joseph Track and Field sign-up is now open!
This year St Joseph is combining with St Mary of Gostyn to form a team.
This provides more opportunities for athletes to participate in more events.
We welcome all students grades 5-8, girls and boys.
Already busy with other commitments? Not a problem! YOU CAN STILL JOIN TRACK!
We participate in the Suburban Parochial League (web site s-p-l.org). Running events include
individual races of 75m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, and 1600m, as well as relay races and
hurdles. Field events include long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, and javelin. Regular running
shoes are used. Spikes are allowed for 7/8th grade at certain meets.
Track meet dates are Saturdays April 13 thru May 18. Meet locations will be confirmed soon.
Historically start times have been 8am for 5th and 6th graders and 10:30am for 7th and 8th graders.
Practice dates and times will be coordinated with St Mary Gostyn coaches.
We need coaches and volunteers for track practices and meets. No prior track experience needed.
Our meets rely on parent volunteers. One parent of each athlete must work AT LEAST one meet,
either JV or Varsity. Thanks in advance for your help!
